DPS Group TSO is Hiring a QC Lab Analyst Near Auburn, AL

Summary:
DPS is seeking talented QC Lab Analysts to support to our medical device client in Auburn, AL with performing wet and dry analytical methods, operating analytical instrumentation, and collecting/compiling data. The QC Lab Analysts will analyze routine and investigational samples using established methodologies in support of production. The Lab Analysts are responsible for production support based on the priorities given by management to ensure that the lab functions as necessary. The selected candidates are required to have a thorough understanding of all instrumentation in the lab, and able to perform all maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform all the normal duties of a Lab Technician with regards to testing, data review, and maintaining a clean and orderly lab.
  • Recognized as having a higher degree of technical proficiency as compared to junior technicians and as such may serve as a technical resource to junior staff.
  • Responsible for overseeing sorting/logging incoming samples, assigning new testing, and communicating these to lab management.
  • Responsible for performing data reduction and review on completed testing.
  • Responsible for recognizing normal data patterns and rapidly identifying and bringing to management attention unusual, out of place, or failing results; may, at management request, carry out lab investigations.
  • Maintain a basic understanding of the calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting of lab instruments/equipment.
  • Ability to maintain focus, direction, and speed in a high throughput environment.
  • Ability to efficiently shift direction with changing priorities.
  • Willingness to coordinate with supervisor for job priorities, staffing, job efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent organizational skills to ensure a clean and orderly work environment.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or Microbiology preferred; significant and meaningful industry experience can be considered equivalent.
  • 2 year minimum of applied laboratory experience in a pharmaceutical, environmental, or analytical laboratory required.
  • Weekly shift flexibility required; weekends required; ability to work overtime required.
